Thanksgiving Meeting by Dorothy

Standard

Hi, my name is Dorothy.  This Wednesday we got separated into our patrols.  There are four patrols with about four people in each patrol.  We got to chose a name for our patrol and we are going to get the badges soon!!!

Then we did the horseshoe and talked about the Guide Promise, the Guiding Law, and WAGGGS.  (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.)  After that, we made a craft for Thanksgiving: a “stuffed” turkey!  I can’t wait for next week!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Standard

Hi, I’m Jaya!

As you know this was the first week of girl guides. This week we did a bunch of games to get to know each other. One game we played, we got a piece of tape taped on our back and it either had a Disney character or a famous person. You would have to go around and ask people yes or no questions to get clues to find out who you are. We also played this game where the leaders say some things about people and you had to guess who it is. And finally we sang songs and horseshoe
